Man stalks wife

AN insecure husband has been accused of stalking his wife suspecting that she is seeing other men.

Obey Gwatidzo, who faces allegations of verbal, physical and sexual abuse, has also been accused of hacking his wife’s mobile phone and social media accounts.

This matter came to light at the Harare Civil Court where Patience Masokera applied for a protection order.

Magistrate Sharon Mashavire presided over the matter.

“My husband hacks my phone and social media accounts, accusing me of having extramarital affairs.

“He stalks me everywhere I am, be it at work or at my new home.  He verbally and physically abuses me and I am now tired,” said Patience.

In his defence, Obey said: “I deny the allegations as she wrote lies in her affidavit.

“She came here because I had confronted her about her extramarital affairs.

“She is trying to seek a protection order because she wants to deprive me access to my children.”

Magistrate Mashavire dismissed the protection order application for lack of merit.
