Man wants to reconcile with ‘promiscuous’ lover

A MUTARE man stunned the courts recently when he begged his promiscuous girlfriend to reconcile with him.Wellington Muchanyora told the court that his ex-girlfriend who had dragged him to court praying for a protection order against him, Catherine Mufunda, was the ‘most promiscuous person on earth’, but begged her to reconcile with him in court.

The two appeared before Mrs Yeukai Chigodora.
Muchanyora was described by Mufunda as a violent and aggressive lover who found pleasure in instilling pain on her body.

“We have been cohabiting for the past three years, but he chased me away last week for no apparent reason.
“I was left with no other choice, but to look for alternative accommodation,” she said.
She told the court that Muchanyora was now visiting her new residence begging her to come back into his life again.
She said he was also in the habit of insulting her, thereby disturbing her new landlord’s peace.

“He bangs doors, knocking loudly and when I open the door he threatens me with assault if I turn him down,” she cried.

Muchanyora had no kind words for his ex-girlfriend. He told the court that the reason he had chased her away from his house was that he had caught her cheating on him several time.
“Your Worship, I still want to marry her. The reason I assaulted her at her new residence is that I had come with the intention of asking for forgiveness for throwing her out of my house, but before I could do that I found out that she had a man in her house.

“I was shocked that a week after our separation she already had a new live-in boyfriend.
“Doesn’t it just show that she has been cheating on me all along?  I assaulted her even though I still want her back,” he said.

Mrs Chigodora granted Mufunda a protection order which bars Muchanyora from visiting, assaulting, insulting or threatening her.
