A HARARE man chased away all his children from home after finding out he has been raising a child, who is not his, for 21 years.
Now Macdonald Makenzi has been dragged to the Harare Civil Court by his wife, Patience Chitongo.
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted the protection order to Patience.
She claimed Macdonald has been assaulting her on a daily basis and demanding a DNA test for their other children.
“My husband assaults me every day ever since our child was taken by his father.
“I no longer have peace in my own house.
“My other children were chased away from the house since he is demanding a DNA test for them,” she said.
Macdonald did not deny the allegations raised against him.
“My wife did not reveal the whole truth to me when we got married.”
“Patience claims that she was raped by her relative long back but she lured me into her trap.
“I discovered it when the child’s father came claiming his child.
“She did not deny that the child was not mine, which pains me most.”
He added:
“She claims that l am not good in bed in front of the children and our daughter-in-law.
“Patience claims that my manhood is small and it can not satisfy her.
“My wife no longer has respect for me ever since the truth came out.
“It pains me to know that the child l treated like my own does not belong to me.
“If only my wife had told me the truth, at least, it would have been better than discovering it on my own.”
