TRIANGLE coach David “Yogi” Mandigora has challenged his charges to keep their feet on the ground if they are to have a say in the destiny of the Premier Soccer League title.
The Lowveld side have crawled back into the title race, climbing to fourth position on the log standings, after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over relegation candidates Tsholotsho on Saturday.
They have now accumulated 30 points, nine behind pacesetters FC Platinum who were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Mutare City on the same day.
Mandigora is not pressuring his lads to think of the title.
“At the moment I am just preaching the gospel of consistence to my lads,” he said.
“We are taking each game as it comes and we will see where we will be at the end of the season.
“The current Premiership season is one of the most competitive that I have seen in recent years.
“It is going to be very tough and I think the most consistent team will win the title.”
Mandigora’s charges can cut the gap between them and log leaders if they come out tops in their duel against FC Platinum at Gibbo this weekend.
“Yes we can cut the gap between us and FC Platinum if we manage to bag the maximum points at Gibbo at the weekend.
“We are approaching the game fully aware of the danger that FC Platinum poses.
“They are a good side, but we are going to give it our best to try and come out with something from the match,” said Mandigora.
