Mangako Academy launches in Zimbabwe

WOMEN in Matabeleland region have affirmed to chart a path towards self empowerment and economic independence that has never been more meaningful like now.

This was a calling made louder as women from Bulawayo, Matabeleland South and Matabeleland North gathered in celebration and in honour that humanity has valued over the years on Mothers’ Day.

The day, marked as so “girlish and motherly” was a reminisce of their hey day, mothers from the region were in jubilant mood, as they made merry of a day well spent .

Organised by Mangako Academy, a wholly owned school from Bulilima District the event was a show of how women, in their capacity have the power to equip themselves with handy skills, much to the empowerment of the grander community.

This Saturday, more than 100 met at a local venue and made a good day of appreciating one another from all spheres of life.

Many of the attendees were there to celebrate that moment with family and friends as graduands on various courses made way on the podium.

The aim was met, as what the Second Republic, led by President Mnangagwa’s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind in empowerment.

In their numbers, the women really had a weekend, much to the delightful and appropriation of the immense contribution in business and community development.

Founder and inspirational leader at Mangako Academy, Charity Tshuma had inspirational and futuristic words to all the women in Zimbabwe.

“To all the ladies here and the whole of Zimbabwe, this is our time to shine and be of worthy to this great country of ours. We, as women are the backbone of the country’s economy in so many way. Let’s celebrate this moment together in an endeavor to build the country,” she said.

In the event, popular personalities were there. Amongst were local radio presenters and producers, musicians, actors and entrepreneurs, so were business leaders in the southern region.
