24 hours after leaving Dynamos, Mangombe joins Scotland, gets car

LESS than a day after parting ways with Dynamos, coach Genesis Mangombe has joined ambitious Northern Region Division One side Scotland.

Social media posts this afternoon revealed Mangombe posing for pictures with his new paymasters and receiving a new car for use as head coach of the club which is owned by politician and business mogul Scott Sakupwanya in Harare. William Nyasalu, who was the head coach, becomes his assistant coach and Owen Paraffin as second assistant. Tawanda Chidzidzi is the team manager, with Tendai Chihuri the fitness trainer and Bruce Matawu goalkeepers coach. DeMbare revealed late last night that Mangombe has tended his resignation which the club accepted.

“We wish to advise all our stakeholders that the club has gracefully accepted the resignation of Genesis Mangombe as head coach of Dynamos football club with immediate effect. “We want to thank Mr Mangombe for the services he rendered to the club and for all the achievements that the club attained during his tenure,” said DeMbare in a statement.

Mangombe, a former boss at Yadah Stars has been heavily linked to free spending Scotland who recently engaged in a massive player recruitment drive that has seen them lure Denver Mukamba, Denzel Khumalo, Allen Gahadzikwa and MacClive Phiri among other experienced players.
