GENESIS Mangombe can now formalise his return to Triangle after he was cleared of all the allegations, including match-fixing and involvement in the dark arts of juju, by the Dynamos leadership yesterday?
The coach and his backroom staff, which includes Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere, were cleared by the DeMbare bosses following a meeting between the two parties.
As part of the deal, Mangombe and his team have also officially left their jobs at the Glamour Boys and are now free to join any club of their choice.
Mangombe and his backroom staff were represented by the Sports and Recreation National Workers union of Zimbabwe, engaged on Monday and agreed to mutually terminate their contractual relationship.
In a statement yesterday, Dynamos said all allegations levelled against Mangombe, Mutema, Marume and Gwere have been dropped and withdrawn.
“Dynamos FC and the Sports and Recreation National Workers union of Zimbabwe (representing Genesis Mangombe, Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere) mutually engaged each other in good faith for the advancement of football,” reads part of the statement by Dynamos.
“All allegations that had been made against Genesis Mangombe, Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere relating to match fixing, use of juju and insubordination have been dropped and withdrawn.
“The suspensions previously issued against Genesis Mangombe, Newsome Mutema, Tonderai Marume and Britto Gwere were uplifted.
“Parties engaged and agreed to mutually terminate their contractual relationship and draw up a Mutual Separation and Release Agreement to give effect to their true wishes, understanding and terms of agreement.”
Both parties agreed to a mutual separation with immediate effect.
Mangombe and his crew, who are already on the books of Triangle United, were also issued with a clearance letters which allows them to move on with their careers at the Sugar-Sugar Boys.
“Dynamos FC wishes them well in their future endeavors; both Dynamos and the union reaffirm that football must remain the winner.”
Dynamos have since appointed Aristica Cioaba as their technical director.
The Romanian made his debut for the club at the weekend when he led the Glamour Boys to a thrilling 4-0 victory over AGAMA at Rufaro.
