Manica Amateur golf tees off tomorrow

had exactly a month-long-break, are set to resume their rivalry in the domestic championships.
The golfers last played in the Zimbabwe Amateur Matchplay tournament and will tee off for the 72-hole and 36-hole two-day competition.
Golfers playing off 0-12 handicaps will battle it out in the 72-holes while 13-and-above handicaps will play 36-holes.
The contest, which will see a field of about 60 players, will have Zimbabwe’s rising star Scott Vincent the main drawcard.
He has won two tournaments so far this year after returning from South Africa and will obviously be the man to beat.
The golfer has sad memories at Hillside as he suffered his first defeat last year after a 25-match unbeaten run.
The defeat was inflicted by Barry Painting who has not managed to make an impact this year.
Vincent is likely to face competition from Clive Nguru who has started the season on a good note.
