MANU EYES DOUBLE FIGURES

Curtworth Masango

CAPS United forward, Emmanuel Mandiranga, said his goal against Triangle will boost his confidence in the remaining matches of the season.

Mandiranga scored in the 87th minute, to level matters.

Ben Musaka then sealed the comeback victory when he unleashed a beauty, from distance, for the three points.

Mandiranga’s goal was his fifth, this season, in the league.

It was his first in CAPS United colours since arriving from Harare City during the mid-season transfer window.

Makepekepe’s win moved them to 34 points and another win in the remaining five matches will move them further from the relegation zone.

Mandiranga told H-Metro:

“It was a tough match for us against Triangle.

“So, getting a goal in such a tough game is a confidence-booster.

“I am now hoping that my set target of double figures might be attainable now in the remaining matches. “I’ve been looking for such a moment for quite a long time since I came to CAPS.

“It was really difficult for me.”

He conceded his form hasn’t been to expectations.

“I have only managed to play well in a few games so it was now worrying me.

“The goal came at a crucial time for me as we face Cranborne Bullets in our next match.

“Given a chance, I would want to be on the scoresheet again.

“My first goal of the season came against them and I am looking forward to scoring against them again.

“The win has released some pressure on us, as things were not going well for us.

“Fans were getting irritated and it was weighing on us.”
