CAN FC Platinum repeat last season’s impressive feat when they became the first team to collect maximum points against Simba Bhora at Wadzanai when they visit MWOS at Ngoni?
This heavyweight clash has been scheduled for Saturday.
Only Manica Diamonds and TelOne have walked away with a point at Ngoni.
They have beaten DeMbare, CAPS United and Scottland at this venue.
Last season, FC Platinum floored Simba Bhora 1-0 at Wadzanai.
Some argued that it was more of an exhibition match because Simba Bhora had already secured the championship.
But, history will remember FC Platinum as the only PSL team that registered maximum points in Shamva last season.
And, another chance has been presented to Norman Mapeza to silence critics who downplayed that rare feat.
FC Platinum are 12 points off the mark.
MWOS fans are praying for Billy Veremu to rediscover his scoring touch.
The forward has failed to score a goal in their last three games.
He last scored when he reached double figures in their 1-3 loss to Ngezi Platinum.
Veremu is now a goal behind TelOne forward, Washington Navaya, who registered his first goal after the restart in their 1-0 victory against Dynamos last weekend.
Veremu said: “Our coach Mutasa has been very supportive since the start of the season, he equally believes in this group of players and this gives us the freedom to accept things as they are.
“I can’t say this is a goal drought because we play as a team and the moment that I start getting it into my head it will definitely affect my performance.
“I want to urge our fans to keep on supporting us, their support pushes us and we will get the job done at the end of the day. We are in this fight together as the MWOS family.”
