A SUSPECTED marriage wrecker was brutally assaulted by three women on allegations of having an affair with one of the women’s husbands.
Following the attack, the victim, Senzeni Mapako, was left unconscious and only recovered in an emergency ward at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital.
Stella Chifamba (25), Natasha Mutamba (26) and Ketty Potsern (26) have since been arrested and appeared before Mbare magistrate, Rangarirai Gakanje, charged with attempted murder.
The trio was not asked to plead and they is expected back in court today for bail consideration.
Circumstances suggest that at around 8am on Monday, the three, who are neighbours to Mapako, severely assaulted the suspected marriage wrecker, accusing her of having an adulterous affair with one of the accused’s husband.
Mapako was rushed to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital where she received medical attention in an emergency unit.
In denying the three women bail, the State claimed that since the women lived next door to each other, witnesses will be interfered with, tempers were still high and feared the assaults will continue.
