Short time love!

The above phrase has been used to try and justify the behaviour of a Zvishavane couple which reportedly parted ways a few weeks after their wedding ceremony.

Axcelia Chada and Munyaradzi Mureyias marriage was short-lived as in no time, they crossed each otheras paths.

The couple wedded on 22 April this year at Zvishavane magistrates courts and on 27 May the following month, the bride was back at the same place applying for a peace order.

Chada in her application papers indicated that she sought a peace order against Mureyi because she no longer loved him.

She stated that she did not want to see the man anywhere near her and he should not visit her residence or business premises.

Chada, in her application also demanded back her car keys from Mureyi citing that she had already filed for divorce through her lawyers, Mutandi Mudisi Shumba legal practitioners.

In response to the application, Mureyi revealed that their marriage came to an end a week after their wedding ceremony because Chada was abusive.

He said Chada never liked the way he challenged her therefore creating tension in their relationship resulting in the break-up.

Presiding magistrate Shepherd Mjanja granted the peace order in favour of Chada.

Mureyi promised to surrender the car keys.
