A heartbroken Bulawayo man bared his soul claiming his wife had lost respect for him and was allegedly bringing her lover into their matrimonial home for sleep-overs whenever he was not at home.
In his petition for a protection order, Onias Nkomo, who resides in Cowdray Park, told the court that his wife Sakhile Moyo was adulterous and disrespectful.
“I am applying for a protection order against Sakhile Moyo who is my wife. She doesn’t respect me and she insults me in front of people. She even uses vulgar words when insulting me. If neighbours try to restrain her, she insults them as well. She is also bringing her boyfriend and sleeps with him in our matrimonial home. I want the court to stop her from doing that,” pleaded Nkomo.
He further said his wife was also no longer cooking for him.
In response, Moyo shocked the presiding magistrate Franklin Mkwananzi when she defended her actions of bringing her boyfriend into their matrimonial home saying it was a temptation too good to ignore after her husband was transferred to Plumtree.
“I have no problem with his application for a restraining order since I no longer love him,” responded Moyo.
When the magistrate asked her why she was bringing her boyfriend into the matrimonial home, Moyo pulled a shocker when she said: “It was because he (husband) has been transferred to Plumtree and I needed someone closer to take care of me.”
Nkomo also stunned the court when he insisted that he still loved his wife despite the fact that she had openly declared that she was cheating on him and was also no longer interested in him.
In his judgment the seemingly shocked magistrate, however, ordered Moyo not verbally abuse her husband.
