BLACK RHINOS head coach, Herbert Maruwa, says they are expecting to finish the season strongly.
The second half of the campaign gets underway on Friday.
The army side are set to face Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday.
Maruwa believes there is going to be stiff competition in the second half of the season.
“The expectations are very high and it’s not going to be easy because every team is playing for a reason,” said Maruwa.
“Some are playing for the Championship.
“Some are trying to run away from relegation and some want respectful positions.
“So, there is a lot at stake.
“There is going to be a rollercoaster of emotions and we are ready to battle it out with the big boys and have our own say.”
He added:
“We need to make sure we remain focused on our game and express ourselves as best as possible.
“We will try to keep in touch with the top teams and see how the season ends.
“We have to be up there physically, and mentally prepared for the coming streak of games.
“It will be good if we manage to exploit the weakness of our opponents.
“The good thing is the boys are believing in themselves, they want to write their own history and they know what’s at stake.
“We have a balanced team and, as a coach, I believe in their ability we need to maintain our unbeaten run.
“We hope to add one or two players to the team.”
The army side are in sixth place on the table with 26 points.
