WARRIORS captain Marvelous Nakamba will now have to focus on getting back to his best at Luton in League One after the transfer window closed without him making any move.
Luton wrapped up their transfers without Nakamba featuring, despite reports in the last weeks that he was likely to make a move, on loan.
The relegation of the English club to the third-tie means Nakamba generally becomes expensive for the club interms of wages.
On Monday Nakamba was already in the Warriors camp ahead of their clash with Benin and then Rwanda.
Coach Michael Nees was happy with how things have come together in Cote d’Ivoire, where they face Benin.
“Everything is in place. We arrived here safely and at the hotel also everything is fine. I think we have nothing to complain, really not. I think we made the right choice.
“Good quality and good fitness (facilities) actually. We are basically happy. The training comes later. Two thirds of the crowd is here. The latest arrives tonight (yesterday), and tomorrow I think.
“So I think everything is in order.”
