Mash East commemorates Anti Sanctions Day

Mashonaland East province has joined the entire nation in commemorating the SADC Anti Sanctions Day, and added its voice to the calls for the unconditional removal of sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.

The provincial commemorations were held in Marondera this Friday and people from all walks of life attended the auspicious event.

In her remarks, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland East Dr Apollonia Munzverengwi, represented by director Finance, Administration and Human Resources Mr Douglas Dzukwa, called on all the countries that had imposed sanctions on Zimbabwe to immediately remove them because they are affecting innocent people.

“Sanctions have caused suffering to the people of Zimbabwe. We demand the unconditional removal of these sanctions as Mashonaland East province,” she said.
