Master Zhoe basks on debut Zima nomination

GWANDA’S fast-rising musician, Master Zhoe has had his hard work in the music industry pay off after being nominated in this year’s edition of the Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima).

This is Master Zhoe’s debut nomination for the prestigious award in the Best Dance (House, Gqom, Kwaito, EDM) category.

The awards are set to be held in the capital on June 3.

Master Zhoe who is behind X Studios, which is based in Bulawayo will be up against songstress LaDee, Leslie Kampila and King 98.

Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz, Master Zhoe through his artiste manager Morateoa “Mora” Sidange, said he is humbled by the recognition.

“We are so grateful for the recognition by a national awards ceremony and as an artiste, it’s good feedback for the work we do.

“It shows that studio time isn’t wasted. We are thankful for being given such an opportunity and may the best deserving artiste win,” said Mora.

Master Zhoe is known for some of his impressive works which include a collaboration with Kalawa Jazmee protégé Professor for the remake of his track titled Akungise.

He has also turned the tables in the mining town by tapping into the visual world with top-notch videos that feature legendary artiste such as Sungura Godfather Madzibaba, Nicholas Zacharia.
