Gwanda’s celebrated artiste, Master Zhoe, has taken stock of his significant accomplishments in 2023 and outlined a roadmap for heightened growth and success in 2024.

Last year marked a turning point for him as he secured a debut national award nomination in the Best Dance category at the prestigious Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima).

He also ventured into the rhumba genre, receiving significant appreciation and recognition.

The artiste collaborated with Mzoe 7 and Nyasha Timbe, expanding his artistic horizons and fostering connections with musicians and producers across regions.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Master Zhoe is a successful businessman who owns X Studios, a renowned studio that recently relocated to Bulawayo from Gwanda. Additionally, he launched the Yellow Door Bar, which has become a popular leisure joint in Gwanda, adding to his multifaceted contributions to the entertainment industry.

In an interview, Master Zhoe expressed gratitude for the reception of his art, detailing plans for continued growth in 2024.

“In 2023, my musical journey witnessed substantial growth and diversification. Collaborating with Mzoe 7 and Nyasha Timbe in the rhumba genre opened new doors, fostering valuable connections with artistes and producers from Harare, Bulawayo, Botswana, and South Africa.

“Despite challenges, it was a learning year, marked by the completion of numerous singles and projects set to be unveiled in 2024.

We made waves through radio interviews, earned a Zima award nomination, and topped Gwanda Magazine’s music video charts, making 2023 a pivotal year in my career,” said Master Zhoe.

For 2024, Master Zhoe is gearing up for an aggressive marketing strategy, international collaborations, and potential endorsements from major companies.

With plans to perform at a local music festival, launch an album in the second or third quarter, and release a single in the first quarter, Master Zhoe envisions a dynamic and successful year.

Discussing X Studios, he revealed the recent relocation to a more secure and music-friendly venue, with renovations in progress. The record label is also preparing for new artiste signings.
