MASVINGO Province has recorded its second death from covid-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 151.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Masvingo had not recorded any deaths from the virus and the province’s active cases stand at 14.
According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care in their daily covid-19 update, 102 new cases were recorded on Thursday.
All the 102 cases were locally transmitted.
Active cases have risen to 1069 while recoveries stand at 83. Bulawayo province has recorded 59 of those recoveries.
As of August 20, 2020, Zimbabwe had recorded 5745 cases 4525 recoveries and 151 deaths.
