The youngster has taken the Scottish Premiership by storm and is a consistent performer for the team.

He was in terrific form throughout December and the club duly rewarded him.

Maswanhise has done well since joining the club on a two-year contract from Leicester City and he has made 17 appearances, hitting the target five times with the latest goal coming four days ago when he helped Motherwell beat Aberdeen 2-0.

Speaking about the award, Maswanhise said; “my confidence is at an all-time high, which I think has given me an extra edge on the pitch.

“We have navigated a testing time well as a team, and I am glad I can contribute. My thanks go to all the fans for their support
