MOTHERWELL forward Tawanda Maswanhise has vowed to maintain his momentum after being named the G4 player of the month for January, insisting the rising confidence inside the club must continue to drive standards higher.

Maswanhise believes the team’s strong run of form is built on growing belief and togetherness within the camp.

“Thank you, Motherwell fans, for the player of the month award, the first one of the new year. Hopefully, this is one of many to come. Well, I got to keep the fire burning.

“The morale in the camp is really high, and the atmosphere is increasing week by week. Hopefully, I can keep climbing,” said Maswanhise.

Motherwell won four of their five league matches during January and recorded four clean sheets.

The forward’s influence has been decisive.

He scored in every league game during the month, netting six goals in five appearances, a run that took him to the top of the Premiership scoring charts with 13 goals overall.

His consistency has made him one of the most influential attacking players in the division this season.

Maswanhise’s performances have also drawn attention beyond Scotland.

One of Zimbabwe’s standout discoveries at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations, he has reportedly attracted interest from clubs including Blackburn Rovers and Belgian side Anderlecht.

Born in Zimbabwe and raised in England, Maswanhise is a product of Leicester City’s youth academy.

He joined Motherwell on a short-term deal in August 2024 and made an immediate impact, earning successive contract extensions after helping the club retain its Premiership status.
