Matfield to break Bulls record

Cape Town – Bulls lock Victor Matfield will become the most capped Super Rugby player for the Pretoria franchise when he takes to the field against the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday.
Matfield will play his 124th match for the franchise, surpassing Morné Steyn (123 matches).  Matfield is also the most experienced South African in Super Rugby (131 matches), having played for the Cats in his debut season.

He is also the most experienced South African captain in Super Rugby, having captained the Bulls 77 times.
Meanwhile, Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has picked Heinrich Brüssow at flank for their Super Rugby clash against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.

Brüssow replaces Lappies Labuschagné, who is out with a groin injury. Brüssow, who played for Free State’s Vodacom Cup side last week, joined up with his team-mates in Bloemfontein a few weeks ago after returning from his duties in Japan.

He had been sidelined for the last three months after injuring his toe playing for his club, the Docomo Red Hurricanes.
Flyhalf Johan Goosen, who was concussed in the 52-31 loss to the Crusaders last week, is also unavailable for selection.- Sport24.
