MATINDIFE GETS SECOND CHANCE AT DEMBARE

TALENTED winger Tendai Matindife has been given a second chance by Dynamos who have gambled on his talent and overlooked his off-the-field shenanigans.

The young forward has been subject of speculation over the past few months amid rumours he had been transfer-listed and would leave the Glamour Boys.

His contract runs until the end of this year.

At one point, towards the end of last season, it looked certain he would be offloaded after reports linked his shocking dip in form, and subsequent failure to make match-day squads, to detrimental activities.

But coach Genesis “Kaka” Mangombe has decided to be lenient with the gifted former Ngezi Platinum Stars player.

“I have no doubt in what Matindife can give me as a player. He is one of the most talented players we have around,” said Mangombe.

“He is one player, who can win a game out of nothing.

“I am glad to tell you that he is staying put at the club.

“Remember we are trying to assemble a formidable squad that will be capable of competing in Africa when we play in the CAF Confederation Cup.

“We will also be there to compete for domestic contests including the league and different other cups.

“So, Matindife will be part of the squad because we know how good he is. We have talked to him and we will continue talking to him as we go.

“He is still a young man who deserves all the love and we should just try to manage him well.

“At the end of the day, we know he is a good player so we have decided to give him another opportunity to prove his worth.”

Before he went quiet, Matindife was one of the best players at Dynamos.

He was in the thick of things, engineering forward forays, assisting and scoring as Dynamos looked poised to win the championship for the first time since 2014.

Matindife notched seven assists and netted three times before his train went off the raids.

“I am very happy to be at Dynamos, I am very focused on the 2024 task. I love this team and I would like to give them all that they deserve,” he said.

“I am someone, who lost track along the way last season and I promise to deliver this season.”

“Dynamos is a very big team and a huge brand. We will work to try and enhance their size and status by winning trophies”.
