The team left yesterday by road.
The Matabeleland Select coach Vusumuzi “Vee” Ndebele named a strong side for the tour in a move meant to restore lost pride in Botswana. The last time the two sides met, Matabeleland Select were beaten.
The Botswana Vultures will be using the game as part of their preparations for the Confederation of African Rugby Africa Cup Group 1C competition which they will host next month.
Ndebele said he was confident his team would win in Botswana.
Veterans Lucky Sithole, Moses Makhiwa, Ozy Lynx, Dumi Bhebhe, Jafet Ndebele and Percy Ncube who have been part of the trailblazing Matabeleland Warriors National Rugby League team are expected to lead the team to victory.
Players from Old Miltonians include big Theo Weale, young Tawanda Mhora, Sandile Lupuwana and Thabani Sakupwanya. Kudakwashe Chimukuyu and Zenzele Ncube are the only players from Western Panthers.
