THE 16-year-old Chipinge boy, who was found hanging in a bedroom in September, was MURDERED.

Two brothers, who murdered him for caressing their sister, confessed to their act after their lives became unbearable as they kept being haunted by some mysterious activities.

Matthew Paureni was found hanging on September 23, following a misunderstanding with the Ratinina brothers, Thomas and Never, after they bust him caressing their sister, Tatenda.

The incident had happened the previous day.

Matthew’s body was quickly taken down and buried in the village on September 24, without involvement of the police.

The assumption then was that Matthew had committed suicide.

Now, the two brothers have appeared before a traditional chief where they have confessed to the murder.

They are reported to have approached Matthew’s family and confessed to his murder after experiencing some mysterious things.

The Paureni family took the case to Chief Muusha where Thomas and Never publicly admitted to the murder, which they then disguised as a suicide.

One of Matthew’s relatives said:

“We were pained by the death of our son, especially that he was killed just for caressing his lover.

“We were forced to quickly bury him without taking the matter to the police or a post-mortem being done.

“We later learnt that Thomas and Never had killed him after they approached us. The chief is expected to pronounce his sentence on Saturday,” said the relative.
