Entertainment Reporter
MAWABENI Business Centre was a hive of activity on Saturday as hundreds of people converged on the place to witness the official opening of a new upmarket sports bar, Gold Reef. The opening of the bar is expected to breathe life  into this business centre. The brains behind the bar, Leonard Ndlovu is a gold miner in the area.
Speaking after touring the bar, Zanu PF Matabeleland South provincial chairman and Deputy Minister of Public Service, Andrew Langa said the opening of the bar was a welcome development.

“This is good and it’s sweeter because it is a young person who did this. I have been told that the name of the bar is Gold Reef and the young man is a gold miner.

“This is an example of the benefits of  Zanu-PF’s indigenisation and empowerment policies,” said Langa.
The owner of the bar said his wife Thabiso Ndlovu would run the bar.

“First of all I would like say that I am very happy that the bar has finally opened because I faced many obstacles along the way.
Ndlovu said only local artistes would provide entertainment at the bar.
