Mawiwi disappointed

Northern Region Division One soccer match at Old Hararians at the weekend.
Harare City failed to produce the same magic that saw them thump Karoi 4-0 in their last encounter and they dropped one place down the ladder to fifth.
Dstv have are sixth on the log with 11 points.
The match was an evenly-balanced affair with both teams coming close on several occasions but they could not hit the back of the net.
“I am disappointed, honestly, by the way we failed to put away the several chances that came our way.
“It’s one area that we need to work on – scoring goals – because we cannot afford to keep on dropping points like this,” said Mawiwi.
Dstv coach Masimba Mutame was satisfied with the point that they collected but vowed to start winning matches before it’s too late.
“It was a tough match and I think a point taken is better than a point lost.
“We are, however, worried about dropping points but I am sure we will start winning in our next matches,” said Mutame.
Elsewhere, high flying La Liga continued with their fine form by beating Flame Lily 3-0 at Tomlinson on Saturday.
The Naison Muchekela-coached side got their goals from Honey Chimutimunzeve, Artwell Nyamiwa and Silas Songani.
“We had never scored more than two goals before this game and getting them against Flame Lily is a good sign of more goals to come.
“We played as a team, attacked as a team, defended as a team and we got the required result.
“We were missing the services of Partson Jaure who picked up a red card last week and other guys through injury but the players that came in responded very well,” said Muchekela.
La Liga remain at the top of the table with 20 points from eight games, two ahead of second-placed Mwana Africa and Black Rhinos.
At Trojan, Raphael Manuwire and Martin Mine scored for Mwana Africa to hand Highfield United their fifth defeat in eight league games this season in a 2-1 win.
Highfield United scored through captain and former Black Mambas’ midfielder Isaac Madziva.
Mwana remain in second place with 18 points and are tied with Black Rhinos who dismissed fellow soldiers Commando Bullets 1-0 in a tension-filled encounter at One Commando.
DC Academy moved into sixth place with a 3-0 win over bottom-placed Cossy Rules at Gwanzura.
Munyaradzi Chiwara, Nelson Mandisodza and Oswell Mushuna scored for DC.
