adminschool in Mbare were treated and discharged. The school authorities have since made a report to the police and investigations are under-way. Sources close to the investigations yesterday said the pupil who is still admitted at the hospital is in stable condition.
The pupils were reported to have taken the jatropha seeds assuming that they were peanuts.
Officials at the school later found some of the pupils vomiting and questioned them.
They revealed that they had eaten the seeds and ambulances were summoned to the school and took them to hospital.
Jatropha seeds are toxic and are used to prepare inedible products like bio-diesel and fertilisers.
