BULAWAYO football fans are ululating while Harare is claiming its own bragging rights after pint sized Dynamos skipper Emmanuel Jalai and Highlanders hard man Andrew Mbeba were voted among the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Soccer Stars of the Year.

It was a star-studded selection likely to send social media into overdrive as the panel named the crème de la crème from a rollercoaster season that saw shock upsets, late surges and unforgettable derbies.
Simba Bhora led the charge with a powerful trio that caught the eye all year. Goalkeeper William Thole, midfield engine Isheanesu Mauchi and the ever consistent Emmanuel Ziocha all earned their places among the elite after steady, match winning performances in a season where Simba showed serious intent.
Scottland FC also muscled in with their own duo of steel and flair in Kevin Moyo and the towering Tymon Machope who anchored the club’s impressive run and gave strikers nightmares week after week.

Golden Boot winner Washington Navaya was a no brainer. The TelOne predator finished the campaign with 17 goals, banging them in with the confidence of a man who knew the net owed him rent.
MWOS showed they are no longer pushovers after their workhorses Billy Veremu and Moffat Abubakar forced their way into the top 11 on pure grit and impact.
