MDC-T fissures widen in Masvingo

Sources in the party yesterday said all was not well in the MDC-T in Masvingo ahead of party primary elections.
“All is not well in the party at the moment because the infighting pitting those aligned to Mr Chiondegwa and those who belong to Mr Sitemere’s faction has reached new heights.

“In fact the Chiondegwa faction has since petitioned the party’s national council to intervene before more damage is inflicted. There are now fears that those who were sidelined from contesting the primary elections through manipulation by the Mr Sitemere faction might compromise the party’s chances of winning seats in the province,’’ said the source who preferred anonymity.
