Over 1 000 attend Zanu-PF rally in Insiza

Cde Langa said the impressive turnout was a bold message to other parties that Zanu-PF would win convincingly in Insiza North in the forthcoming elections.
The people were from Pioneer Villages One, Two, Three and Four and the rally was organised by the local party structures and Ward 13 councillor Cde Vongai Mpofu. Cde Langa thanked the villagers for voting “Yes” in the 16 March constitutional referendum.

“The attendance and organisation here is clear testimony that Zanu-PF is strong in this area,” he said.
“I want to begin by thanking you for the great job that you did on 16 March by securing the future of the country and in particular the land reform programme by endorsing the draft constitution.

“I am very happy that Chapter 16 of the new Constitution stipulates that the land reform programme is irreversible. This means that the whites who still own vast pieces of land will be made to surrender a portion of this land to the landless masses.”

Cde Langa said even the British and the Americans now appreciated the irreversibility of the land reform programme and the fact that Zanu-PF and President Mugabe would win the next elections, hence their moves to initiate dialogue to normalise relations.
