The Global Advocacy Campaign is an election vilification programme trading under the “Towards a peaceful, free and fair elections in Zimbabwe” expected to be launched by PM Tsvangirai in Johannesburg this month.
Under GAC, the MDC-T is secretly working with some Western-sponsored non-governmental organisations to prepare for foreign intervention in the event its candidate PM Tsvangirai loses to President Mugabe in elections set for this year.
It intends to mobilise people at home and abroad to discredit the polls and plans are already underway to launch such campaigns in a number of African capitals and in the United Kingdom.
Efforts are also underway to rope in Sadc, AU and the UN in a programme that seeks to bring about illegal regime change in Harare.
Dialogue with the EU was expected to resume at the end of this month or early next month.
Last week the EU Head of Delegation in Zimbabwe Ambassador Aldo Dell’ Ariccia said they sent an invitation to the Government in a letter submitted to President Mugabe on February 17.
