A MECHANIC left the courtroom disappointed after his application for a peace order against his client was dismissed.
Presiding magistrate, Rutendo Machingura, dismissed the application made by Tineyi Mangumba against Hazel Manyonga, for lack of evidence.
The magistrate said Hazel should make a follow-up on her money.
Tineyi was accusing Hazel of disturbing his peace.
“I want Manyonga to stop coming to my matrimonial home.
“Three weeks ago, she was stalking me, making non-stop phone calls.
“I do not owe her money, but l repaired her car.
“Now she is saying it’s not working and she wants her money back,” said Tineyi.
In response, Hazel disputed his claims.
“He is lying, l did not go to his house.
“Mangumba is a mechanic who l was referred to by someone.
“I asked if he was able to repair my car and he said yes.
“He charged me US$250 and I gave it to him on March 3.
“After he repaired the car, he started it, but it did not start,” said Hazel.
“He told me that he would come and fix it, but never came.
“That is when l started making follow-ups claiming my money back.
“l never insulted him.
“He agreed to give me the money on August 23, but he never showed up. All l want is my money,” said Hazel.
