Meet five-year-old wannabe lawyer. . . Boy trends on social media

FIVE-YEAR-OLD Munyaradzi Mushowe has become a social media sensation following a video expressing his desire to become a lawyer.

 At his age, Munyaradzi already knows what he wants to be when he grows older.

In a video circulating on social media, the kid was asked what he wants to be when he grows up, and without hesitating, he confidently said he wants to be a lawyer.

What fascinated viewers were his reasons.

“I want to be a lawyer. The duties of lawyers are to stand in court lying to the police that the accused has not committed any offence.

“If my uncle commits an offence, I will lie that havana kupara mhosva asi munhu anenge apara mhosva. Kana imimi mapara mhosva ndonyepa,” he said.

Speaking to H-Metro, Munyaradzi said he has watched court documentaries, and this has motivated his career choice.

“My father is also a lawyer, so I want to follow in his footsteps. I have also discovered that lawyers are rich,” he said.

Munyaradzi said he does not fear defending those who are guilty, while supporting the innocent as he would only be doing his job.

His mother, Lorraine Munyuki, who is a vendor, said Munyaradzi’s father was not rich.

“I do not agree with that, but maybe it’s because I have not seen him spending lots of money.

“I will support my son so that he can live to achieve his goals; that is what any responsible parent would do,” she said.
