BULAWAYO is about to EXPLODE!

The City of Kings will be on fire on April 25 as Zimdancehall king Winky D headlines the BIGGEST party in town — the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Shutdown Music Festival.

The city is set to shift from business to pleasure as the ultimate shutdown gig prepares to rock Bulawayo.
In typical fashion, Winky D is expected to bring his A-game.

But wait… this is NOT just another show.

The Gafa himself is returning to Bulawayo for the first time since late last year, and his fans are already sharpening their voices to sing along to every word of MuGarden and Takaipa Takaipa.

But hold on to your hats, this time, the Gafa president is stepping into a lion’s den packed with South African heavyweights whose hits are already ruling Bulawayo’s nightlife.

Winky D has a history of humbling international acts with his powerful lyrics and electric stage presence, but the South African “Amapiano Army” coming for him is no joke.

The line-up would make any dancefloor tremble, featuring Scotts Maphuma, Kamo Mpela, Makhadzi, NaakMusiQ, Jazz Worx, Thukuthela, Cowboii and Tracy.

Scotts Maphuma

This isn’t just a concert, it’s a war for the soul of Bulawayo’s nightlife.

While Winky D leans on his massive Gafa Life movement, the Mzansi stars are bringing songs that have become national anthems in every Bulawayo spot.

The “Queen of Limpopo,” Makhadzi, is coming to claim her crown. With hits like Matorokisi, MaGear, and the chart-topping Boravha, she is an inspiration, who stays true to her Venda roots while making the whole world jump.

When she hits that stage with her high-octane choreography, the ground will definitely shake.

Then there is the man of the moment, Scotts Maphuma. His “vocal percussion” is a drug to Bulawayo fans.

If you haven’t heard Thula Mabota or Bafana Ba Ke blasting from a car or a club, you must be living under a rock.
And don’t even get us started on the global banger Awula Mali. When that Hey Wena! hook drops, the ZITF Shutdown will turn into a massive street party.

Usually, Winky D’s relatable lyrics and stage presence make him unbeatable.

But with the Mzansi acts bringing tracks that are literally the soundtrack to 2024 and 2025, the Gafa will have to dig deep into his bag of tricks to stay on top.

All eyes will be on Bulawayo on April 25 as thousands of music lovers gather for what promises to be the ultimate shutdown party.

With a mix of local star power and regional giants, the festival is shaping up to be a must-attend event — a night where the beats will be loud, the crowd electric and the competition fierce.
