Messi unhappy

BARCELONA. – Lionel Messi and other senior stars at Barcelona are fuming at the clubs poor summer planning in the transfer market.

The Catalans have only managed to snap up Gerard Deulofeu from Everton for around £10 million so far.

According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Messi – and other senior figures in the dressing room – are far from impressed. They don’t think much of Barcelona’s lack of action despite a disappointing 2016-17 campaign which saw rivals Real Madrid win a double of La Liga title and the Champions League.

It’s suggested the players want Barca bigwigs to prioritise signing a new right-back. The club are yet to fill the void by Dani Alves’ departure last sumer and with Sergi Roberto failing to convince in the role. Barca have been linked with Arsenal star Hector Bellerin. However a move is yet to materialise for the Gunners ace. Another problem area that needs be addressed is central midfield. – AFP.
