Metro Studios, Kapfupi bury hatchet

were embroiled in a bitter dispute after the studio refused to release his album for over four months.
Metro Studios argued that the “Mai Nga” hitmaker’s next album was half-baked and would be a flop.
In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Kapfupi said the album will be out tomorrow claiming it was his best offer to date.
“The issue was that Metro Studios wanted us to polish the album before its release and we went the extra mile to ensure that it’s a surefire hit album,” Kapfupi said.
Titled “Munhu Wese Mudariro”, the album also features man-of-the-moment Jah Prayzah.
Tracks include “Wamhanya Panoda Kufambwa”, “Doro Mambara” and “Shamwari Dzakanaka” to mention just a few.
“This is a very different album in the sense that it has songs that have original jiti flavour which will appeal to many,” said Kapfupi.
“This is my Heroes present to everyone.”
Kapfupi also confirmed his shows lined up during the Heroes holidays which start with a family show in Rusape.
“We are going places during the (Heroes) holidays starting at Kadzunge Village in Rusape close to Rukweza where we have a contract with Mana Promotions.”
Godfrey Manhanhanha, the Mana Promotions director, said they were bringing music stars to the rural areas so that the rural folk can also have fun.
“We have hosted Tryson Chimbetu, the late Tongai Moyo, Nicholas Zakaria, Leonard Zhakata and Blessing Shumba among others as we strive to have our kin enjoy the same pleasures of the capital.
“This time around Kapfupi is expected to stage a family show and we hope people will come in their numbers.”
