‘Young Igwe’ to flex muscles at Ochi City

called in music circles — will flex his musical muscles at the event that will pit about 90 hulks from Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
This is Peter’s maiden appearance at the showcase since its inception in 2010 under the name “Mr and Mrs Novice Zimbabwe” before it was rebranded to “Mr and Mrs Ironman Zimbabwe” last year.
The event will start at 6pm and run until the next day and revellers will have all the fun in one place because apart from the young musician, there will also be  dance groups and models.
Tofara Moyo, the organising secretary of Muscle Mania Zimbabwe, said: “We chose to have Peter Moyo because he is one of the country’s talented young artistes and he has a bright future ahead of him.
“He also commands a huge following in the country and this is an opportunity for him to perform before a cosmopolitan crowd.
“The models from the Miss Universities Zimbabwe, will be ushering our invited guests who will include Government ministers,” he said.
Tofara also said the bodybuilding contestants from the other countries in the region had confirmed their participation.
“We have eight contestants from Botswana, 10 from Zambia, and five from South Africa who have all confirmed their participation.
“They will clash with their Zimbabwean counterparts from the country’s 10 provinces,” he said.
A variety of prizes will be on offer.
These include a Honda Fit for the top prize courtesy of sponsor, businessman and musician Energy Mutodi; lounge suites by TN Furnishers; handsets from G-Tel; fridges, stoves, LCD television sets, food hampers from Food World and Tynserv Distributors as well as cash prizes.
The contest, however, will be preceded by a pre-judging event to be held on the same day at Scorpion Gym situated at Queensdale Sports Club in Harare from 8am until midday.
