Gospel music sensation, Minister Michael Mahendere, is set to headline a rich entertainment line-up at the New Creation Life Ministries International’s Apostolic Summit, set for this weekend in Kwekwe.
The four-day event, themed “Rising Above Challenges”, will kick off today at the Kwekwe Mining Museum.
The Apostolic Summit, founded by NCL leaders Apostle Joy and Mary Museba in 2012, has grown in prominence with each edition, attracting multitudes of worshippers from across Zimbabwe and beyond.
Last year’s edition was highlighted by the attendance of United Family International Church leader and founder Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, Apostle Joy’s spiritual father, who visited Kwekwe for the annual event.

Minister Mahendere, who also performed at the previous summit, will lead this year’s entertainment line-up, which includes renowned gospel artistes Mathias Mhere, Joyful Praise Choir, Minister Gabriel Chiteke, Pastor Benjamin Mushoriwa, Minister Prince Kays, and the NCL Choir.
Running alongside the summit will be the Kingdom Affluent Masters (KAM), financial literacy classes typically targeting business leaders and entrepreneurs. Earlier this year, Pastor Nigel Chanakira was the main speaker at the KAM sessions and this time, he will be ministering to the church and is set to open the summit tonight.
The KAM classes, themed “Financial Literacy”, will feature Old Mutual Financial Literacy expert Shalom Gowero and Southern Africa Sub-Region director of Dr John Maxwell’s EQUIP Leadership, Berven Chimanikire, guiding attendees on financial literacy.

Apostle Joy expressed confidence in the event’s preparations, stating, “everything is in place now and we’re prepared to host the multitudes of our members from across the country and beyond. It’s going to be an exciting experience, with major shifts on the spiritual chessboard and in life in general.”
He also emphasised the role of music in the summit, noting that the NCL Choir’s live recording will be a major highlight.
In reference to the KAM sessions, Apostle Joy said, “While KAM usually targets business leaders, this year it’s open to everyone. We want to equip our worshippers with financial literacy, teaching them how to make and manage money wisely. Everyone who uses money needs these classes to better understand its value.”
