Even in victory, the void was loud . . .
Highlanders may have bagged a narrow 1-0 win over Bikita Minerals in front of a roaring Barbourfields crowd on Wednesday, but let’s not kid ourselves — Bosso was not at full throttle.
Suspension ruled out midfield dynamos Melikhaya Ncube and Mason Mushore, and their absence was as glaring as the midday sun.
The tireless pair had been ever-present in all of Bosso’s eight matches prior to the clash — Mushore clocking full 90s in seven outings (with just 7 minutes spared in one), and Ncube bossing the midfield across all eight games without rest. Both have chipped in with a goal apiece, proving they’re not just workhorses, but game-changers too.
Talk about engine-room generals!
In their absence, it was left to the ironman at the back — Arthur Ndlovu — to hold the fort. The former Arenel Movers man stood tall and unyielding, completing yet another 90-minute shift, just like he has all season.
So yes, Bosso won — but the numbers don’t lie.
Melikhaya and Mushore aren’t just players; they’re pillars.

Kudos to the midfield maestros and to Arthur the Wall! Bosso fans can’t wait to see the dream trio back in action.
