Mighty Warriors ready for Banyana Banyana

They will fly to South Africa today.

Zimbabwe has had the better of the exchanges between the two in recent years.

Banyana Banyana are preparing for the women’s Afcon finals set for Equatorial Guinea next month.

The Mighty Warriors’ 0-4 defeat against Super Falcons of Nigeria in May denied them a chance to qualify for the African Women’s Championships.

Their South African counterparts booked their place at the 2012 finals with a 2-1 win over Zambia in their second leg qualifier in Nelspruit.

Yohane Chikaola the Mighty Warriors assistant coach said they have put in place strategies to make sure they perform better.

“We know the girls very well and we are well aware of their weakest points as well as their strong areas.

“So our tactic will be to prevent them from passing the ball.

“If we frustrate them it will not be very difficult to get a win,” Chikaola said.

The Rose Mugadza coached outfit have been in camp at Zifa Village in Mount Hampden since Monday and they will be leaving for Johannesburg today by air.
