Mike Madoda joins SuperSport

Sports Reporter
MIKE MADODA has been chosen by SuperSport to provide the anchor role in their live coverage of the Castle Lager Premiership.

Madoda, a veteran sports broadcaster, will make his debut on SuperSport this weekend in the big match when Highlanders host Dynamos at Barbourfields.

He replaces Ephraim Tagu who is unable to continue for the time being.

Madoda has been the other half of the Sportsline show on radio and social media with his business partner and friend Barry Manandi. He was also part of the original crew of ZTV’s authoritative weekly football magazine Game Plan which airs every Monday night.

The show is now anchored by Charles “CNN’’ Mabika. A Liverpool fan, Madoda has always been looking for a major breakthrough in sports journalism, which he considers his strength, and was part of a group of Zimbabwean journalists who toured Germany as part of an exchange programme organised by SuperSport.

He is also unapologetic about his love for Bosso, which makes him a rare breed in a country — unlike other countries — where sports journalists prefer to keep the identity of the local teams they support a secret.
