MINERS for Economic Development (Miners4ED), a Zanu-PF affiliate, have gathered in Gweru for a two-day workshop aimed at crafting a mining strategic plan to support Vision 2030.
The workshop, attended by representatives from the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ), Fidelity Printers and other delegates, brings together miners from across the sector who are committed to promoting economic growth and responsible mineral stewardship.

The event is also attended by the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development, Mr Freddy Moyo, and the Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Mr Owen Ncube.
Miners4ED national chairperson, Cde Denford Nsuntile, said the organisation remains committed to empowering artisanal miners, boosting local GDP and supporting community development through initiatives such as donating infrastructure and providing internet access.

“The workshop is expected to yield a comprehensive plan to drive economic growth and development in the mining sector. The presence of senior government officials highlights the importance of the mining sector in Zimbabwe’s economic development,” he said.
Cde Nsuntile said Miners4ED supports Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 of 2026.
