Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe has warned those intending to disturb peace during the 44th SADC Heads of State and Government Summit saying law enforcement agencies will be on high alert.
Giving his welcoming remarks during the hand-over of 450 vehicles to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) by the Government, Minister Kazembe assured the nation and other visiting delegates of peace and tranquillity during the SADC Summit.
Vice President Kembo Mohadi was the guest of honour at the hand-over ceremony.
“Honourable Vice President, despite the challenges that the Zimbabwe Republic Police is facing, our men and women in uniform continue to demonstrate a high degree of commitment to duty by ensuring that there is law and order in Zimbabwe.
“As such, in the wake of the country hosting the 44th SADC Summit, the nation is rest assured that the prevailing peace and tranquility will be maintained and indeed, the event will be a success,” he said.
