INFORMATION, Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera has reiterated the Government’s commitment to connect all communities to the Internet and bring information and communication technologies to every corner of Zimbabwe.
Minister Mavetera, who recently took the digitalise Zimbabwe Expo to Makaha in Mudzi district, said under President Mnangagwa’s mantra of “leaving no one and no place behind”, her Ministry is working to bring internet to all communities.
“The Digitalise Zimbabwe Roving Expo is a flagship initiative of the Ministry, designed to take technology, information, and opportunity directly to the people,” she said.
“It bridges the gap between Government programmes and citizens by bringing ICT awareness, digital skills training, innovation, and services to communities, especially those in rural and underserved areas.
“Through this initiative, we are ensuring that every Zimbabwean, regardless of location, can actively participate in the digital economy and benefit from the opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
In his remarks, Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Advocate Itayi Ndudzo said “As Mashonaland East Province, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the faithfulness you have demonstrated in executing to the spirit, the mantra as given by President Mnangagwa who has unequivocally pronounced that in developing our nation, as we journey towards the prosperous and empowered upper middle-income economy by 2030, we will strive to leave no one and no place behind.”
