Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona has commissioned four ambulances and seven tractors for use at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and seven other airports.

In his address, Minister Mhona said, “These ambulances, equipped with the latest medical technology, will be strategically positioned at our airports to ensure swift and effective response in the event of any medical emergencies.

“The safety and well-being of all airport users, our passengers, staff and stakeholders, remain our concern, and these ambulances are a testament to that commitment,” he said.

Minister Mhona said the seven tractors will significantly bolster the airports’ airside maintenance capabilities. Well-maintained airfields are crucial for seamless flight operations.

“These tractors will ensure the upkeep of our runways, taxiways, and other critical airside areas, contributing to the smooth flow of air traffic and the safety of all aircraft movements,” he said.
