AWARD-WINNING gospel artist, Minister Everton Mlalazi, has started the new year on an uplifting note with his spiritually inspired project, ‘In the Presence 3: Great God.’
This latest offering is part of the ‘In The Presence’ worship series, continuing the journey he began in his previously released songs.
“The earlier albums were very intimate and personal, while ‘Great God’ elevates its focus.
“It’s more about declaring who God is and honouring His greatness.
“I felt strongly that this was not just about expressing my creativity but about glorifying God,” said Minister Mlalazi.
He added:
“This album invites listeners into a space of holiness, surrender, praise, and intimate communion with God.
“Rooted in African gospel expression and contemporary worship, it is designed for personal devotion, corporate worship and spiritual renewal.”
The album features collaborations with notable artists such as Oncemore Six, Moses Bliss, Takesure Zama, and the Harare MUMC Choir Vabvuwi.
“The collaborations happened very organically. Every artist involved possesses a genuine heart for worship, expressed in their own unique style.
“This unity was what mattered most to me.
“It felt less like formal features and more like coming together as one body to serve a common purpose.”
He said the lead single, ‘Muri Mutsvene,’ sets the foundation for the entire project.
“Worship begins with recognising God’s holiness, and that song naturally guides listeners into a place of reverence and surrender.
“It felt like the perfect entry point for everything else on the album.”
His prayer is that this album becomes a source of deep and sincere worship that people will return to time and again.
The founder of EM Music and The Vine Music Ministry, Mlalazi, launched his solo career during the Covid-19 pandemic.
