Minister Munzverengwi commissions classroom blocks in Mudzi

Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Dr Apolonnia Munzverengwi has applauded the Mudzi Rural District Council for channeling devolution funds towards the advancement of development in the district.

She said this while commissioning two blocks with two classroom blocks each that the council built at two schools in the district.

The first block was built at Bangauya Secondary School in Ward 5 while the other block was built at Musau Primary School in Ward 17, using devolution funds.

The council has already started constructing more blocks of classrooms at both schools for the benefit of learners.

“All this is the work of President Mnangagwa and the Second Republic,” said Minister Munzverengwi during the commissioning.

“We are here to commission infrastructure courtesy of devolution funds. The President will be pleased to know that the funds availed have been put to good use.

“Mudzi RDC should be commended for this development. Learners should have a conducive environment for their studies.

“There are some of the challenges that were brought forward, that the schools are facing like water, electricity as well as furniture, we will engage relevant authorities.”

She reiterated the Government’s commitment to ensure that the education sector is transformed.
