Minister Nzenza to lead ZNCC annual congress

THE Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce annual congress kicks off in Victoria Falls tomorrow where high-level delegates will converge to discuss key economic issues. 

The congress which ends on Friday, is being held under the theme: “Transforming economic realities into market opportunities.”

Coming at a time when Zimbabwe’s economy is facing macro-economic challenges and resurgent inflationary forces, the gathering is expected to proffer solutions and policy guidelines to authorities so as to steer sustained economic growth.

According to organisers, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr Sekai Nzenza, will open the congress while the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), Dr John Mangudya, Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) executive Mr Kiprono Kittonny, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Zimbabwe, James Musoni and the Ambassador of Pakistan in Zimbabwe, will be among the key speakers.

Also, to attend will be delegates from the Kenya Investment Authority, Africa Trade Policy Centre, Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce and local industry leaders.

Delegates are expected to engage over issues such as energy challenges, exchange rate volatility, tough tax environment and how to leverage local gains from the African Continental Free Trade Area.
