Minter ends season on high

Up coming golfer Batsirai Tilowakuti was second after a good outing.
The Borrowdale Brooke-based golfer, who has made it into the national team, did well to come second in a field that had experienced players.

Loveness Chandavengerwa of Warren Hills golf Club won the A division with Leopard Rock’s Sally Preston finishing as the runner up.
The B division saw Kerry Bond of Chapman taking the lead while the recently elected ZLGU president, Marita Kahwema also of Chapman come up as the runner up.

Chapman’s Jane Salimo and Anne Nduku of Wingate settled for first and second place in the C division.
Polly Crewe of Hillside Golf Club won the A division order of merit winner as B division was won by Connie Mashiri of Warren Hills.

Pam Preston of Royal Harare who is playing off a seven handicap was crowned the most improved golfer of the 2011 season.
The president’s medal best four medal rounds during the year throughout the country had Kuksy Lalla of Royal Harare walking away with the Silver Division medal.

Lorraine Huwa of Harry Allen Golf Club of Bulawayo won the bronze division.
Meanwhile this year’s edition of the Mayor’s fundraising cheer fund will be held this Friday at Royal Harare.

The annual event is used to raise funds, which help charities with children’s homes within the city benefiting. The patron of the event Muchadeyi Masunda always participates in the tournament and several corporates have so far pledged their commitment.
